In my electronic communications course (MC 2023), we were tasked with creating a podcast. Project | Design Theory
In my design theory course (DHM 1003), we learned the principles of design and utilized them within our projects. The principles included balance, emphasis, repetition, proximity, color, line and shape. We learned how to correctly utilize these principles to create an effective design.
Project |Adobe Photoshop
In my technology and visual communications course (DHM 2423), we were tasked with creating a concept board. My concept board focused on trends predicted for the A/W 2021 season and I used Stella McCartney as my inspiration. In the same course I also created a mood board that visually represents who I am as a person. I also took graphic design (SC 3753) where we created a font poster, a rack card and a magazine cover. Project |Adobe Illustrator
In my technology and visual communications course (DHM 2423), we created personal branding packages including a logo, a business card, a letterhead and two custom prints. Project |Adobe InDesign
In my technology and visual communications course (DHM 2423), we created a September issue of our own magazine. My magazine is called "Minimalist" and features minimalistic and gender neutral fashion trends for the Fall 2020 season. I am also on production for Stillwater's fashion and lifestyle magazine, modmuze. On production, it is my job to design and put together the spreads in the magazine on InDesign. Project |Sketchup
In my visual merchandising course (DHM 3853), we created a retail space for a brand that is currently online only. The brand I chose to create a retail space for is Hot as Hell (HAH). Based on the brand's aesthetic and target market, I created a retail space using Sketchup that I thought would make the best fit for HAH. I then compiled my work into a design brief using InDesign.
